Former Public Service Cabinet Secretary Justin Muturi has raised concerns over an image circulating on social media showing Attorney General Dorcas Oduor nearly kneeling before President William Ruto.
In a statement on Thursday, July 3, Muturi said he would never have appeared to kneel before the President.
The former CS said the image of Oduor was disturbing and claimed that it reinforced his earlier allegations that the Cabinet operates in fear.
“As a former Attorney General, I can confidently say: I would never have done this. I cannot, and will not, worship any human being.
“This image of AG Dorcas Oduor nearly kneeling before the President is disturbing. It confirms what I once said, the Cabinet operates under fear,” said Muturi.

Further, Muturi urged Kenyans to resist what he termed a growing "culture of submission," saying it could lead to authoritarian tendencies.
“We must reject this culture of submission. It breeds authoritarianism, not leadership,” the former Public Service CS added.
The photo of Oduor appearing to kneel before President Ruto was taken on August 20, 2024, during her swearing-in ceremony at State House, Nairobi.
President Ruto nominated Oduor as the Attorney General on July 30, 2024, and she was approved by the National Assembly.
Oduor, who is the first female Attorney General in Kenyan history, previously served as the Secretary of Public Prosecution at the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
