Heated Debate Over Construction Of Church At State House

Reports emerged on Thursday, July 3, indicating that a church is being constructed within State House, Nairobi. 

The revelation has ignited debate online with Kenyans questioning the rationale behind the construction of the church within the grounds of State House. 

A section of netizens questioned why the government was prioritizing building a church estimated to cost Ksh1.2 billion over health and resolving unemployment.

Other social media users raised concerns over the separation of church and state, arguing that Kenya is a secular state and that the Constitution prohibits the government from endorsing any religion.
