Mandera CEC for Finance Ibrahim Barrow is dead. According to reports, the Cabinet Member succumbed to Covid-19.
Governor Ali Roba also confirmed the death.
“Barrow was a discipline and dedicated staff who transformed financial management at the county with a very special commitment to deliver results,” Roba said via a Facebook post.
He urged Kenyans to treat the Covid-19 pandemic with the seriousness it deserves and adhere to the Ministry of Health guidelines.

Covid Third Wave
Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe asked county governments to increase ICU beds as Kenya experiences the third wave of the pandemic.
“We are going to emphasize home-based isolation and care because of how stretched hospitals are,” CS Kagwe said.
By Thursday Kenya had 793 patients admitted to various health facilities, 2,250 more patients were under home-based care.
Nairobi recorded 713 new cases in 24 hours up from 608 cases the previous day.
