One person has died and 10 others injured following a gruesome road accident near Makindu along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway.
The accident, which involved a Dreamliner bus and a tuk-tuk, occurred at around midnight on Sunday, July 27.
The bus was heading to Mombasa from Nairobi when it hit a tuk-tuk near Kinyambu area in Makindu.
As a result, one person died on the spot while 10 others suffered serious injuries from the accident.
The injured passengers were rushed to Makindu Hospital for medical attention.

Videos of the accident, seen by nairobileo.co.ke, showed the bus overturned on its side with shattered windows.
Locals and first responders were seen rescuing passengers from the wreckage.
This comes days after two people died and several others were injured following a grisly road accident along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway.
The collision occurred at the Ngata area in Nakuru County, involving a 14-seater matatu and a trailer loaded with logs.
The trailer lost control and rammed into the matatu, causing a devastating crash that left passengers trapped beneath the wreckage.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to Nakuru City Mortuary, while 10 other passengers who sustained injuries were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Following the accident, residents of the Ngata area called on authorities to enhance safety measures along the highway, lamenting that their repeated pleas have been ignored despite frequent accidents in the region.
