FKF has announced a revised ticketing structure for the upcoming CHAN tournament, reducing the number of categories from three to two.

The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has announced a revised ticketing structure for the upcoming African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament, reducing the number of categories from three to two.

In a statement on Tuesday, July 29, FKF confirmed that only Ordinary and Silver tickets will be available for online purchase, removing the previously available VIP category.

"Only two ticket categories will be available for online purchase: Ordinary Tickets (Ksh 200) and Silver Tickets (Ksh 500).

"Ordinary tickets grant access to the stands behind the goalposts and, for Kasarani Stadium, to the upper sections. Silver tickets are located along the long side of the pitch, offering full visibility of both goalposts and are directly opposite the VIP/VVIP stands,” the federation stated.

FKF attributed the removal of the VIP ticket category to the expected presence of high-ranking guests and officials at the matches.

"Due to the nature of the tournament, Kenya will host a significant number of invited dignitaries from both national and international football circles. As such, no VIP or VVIP tickets will be available for sale. Entry to these zones is strictly limited to invited and accredited guests only," the federation added.

In line with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) protocols and in preparation for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), FKF has also made it mandatory for all tickets to be purchased online.

“All tickets will be sold exclusively online, in compliance with the CAF’s guidelines as we prepare to host AFCON 2027," the federation further said.

FKF advised fans purchasing tickets to take note of critical details such as game time, gate openings, and seating assignments.

“When purchasing tickets, please take note of the following important details: match kick-off time; gate opening time - gates will open at least 5 hours before kick-off to ensure smooth entry; allocated entry gate and stadium section assigned to your ticket.

"Clear signage will be available on match days to help guide fans to the correct entrances and sections. Please note that only ticket holders will be granted access to the stadium," the federation added.

For those attending in groups, FKF recommends booking tickets together to secure adjacent seats.

"If you’re attending with friends or as part of a group, we highly recommend purchasing tickets together to ensure you’re seated in the same section. Seating allocation is based on demand and availability, so early booking is encouraged," the federation stated.
