This comes a week after Maraga announced plans to roll out a new digital feedback system that aims to directly involve Kenyans in policy formation.

In a statement on Wednesday, July 23, he said that the platform is not just a tool for gathering opinions, but infrastructure designed to make governance more inclusive.

"We're working on a system to collect and collate feedback on key items in our manifesto, so that this becomes a vision that we don't just buy into, but one that we craft together: a vision that evolves to address the growing needs of a diverse and dynamic society.

"So you see, this is truly your journey, and the digital platforms we are rolling out will be bold infrastructure inspired by this young and courageous generation. Our campaign reminds me that the Kenyan spirit is well and truly alive, and I am deeply honoured to share this part of it with all of you," he said.

While calling for patience from the public, Maraga noted that his team is working around the clock to strengthen the digital platforms.

"Our technical team continues to strengthen our digital platform's capacity and security. This will include the public ticker on all digital fundraising platforms. We ask that you please be patient with us as we get this running strong.

"As those in the digital technology practice will understand, this may sometimes require downtime for brief maintenance periods," he added.
