The City Shuttle bus was set on fire by angry boda boda operators.

A bus belonging to City Shuttle was set ablaze by angry boda boda operators along Jogoo Road in Nairobi on Thursday morning, August 7. 

This is after the City Shuttle bus allegedly knocked down a motorbike rider along the busy road.

The boda boda rider died on the spot, prompting his colleagues to set the bus on fire in retaliation.

Photos and videos seen by Nairobileo.co.ke showed the City Shuttle bus in flames as several boda boda operators watched from a distance. 

The incident caused a huge traffic snarl-up along Jogoo Road as the bus was set ablaze on the roadway, blocking other vehicles from passing.

As of the time of publishing this article, City Shuttle management had not yet issued a statement regarding the incident. 

Meanwhile, a bus belonging to Super Metro on Wednesday, August 6 night, went up in flames at Sudan Hill, along Naivasha Road in Nairobi.

Images of the incident shared online showed flames and huge smoke from the Super Metro bus.

No casualties were reported in the fire incident, and there was no indication that any passengers were present at the scene.

Super Metro management is yet to issue a statement over the fire incident.
