CAF announced the opening of the Kenya vs Madagascar match tickets, raising the amount by KSh50.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced the opening of the Kenya vs Madagascar match tickets to go live on Tuesday, August 19, at noon.

The much-anticipated CHAN 2024 quarterfinal tickets were scheduled to become available for purchase at noon on Tuesday, August 19, giving football enthusiasts nationwide the opportunity to witness what promises to be a thrilling encounter at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.

However, fans will need to pay more for their seats. CAF has increased regular ticket prices by Ksh50, bringing the cost from the previous Ksh200 to Ksh250.

The price adjustment comes as organizers anticipate overwhelming demand for the crucial quarterfinal fixture, which is scheduled for Friday, August 22, at 17:00.

The Kenya versus Madagascar clash represents a pivotal moment in the continental tournament, with both nations fighting for a coveted semifinal berth.

The Harambee Stars, riding high on recent impressive performances, seek to make history by reaching the CHAN semifinals for the first time.

Despite the scheduled noon launch, attempts to purchase tickets through the official portal have been met with technical difficulties.

The error message displays on the Mookh website.

By the time this article was published, when our team tried accessing the ticketing system, the website displayed a "Gateway time-out" error message, effectively crashing under what appears to be a high traffic volume.

The technical glitch has left thousands of eager supporters unable to secure their seats, and many have taken to social media to express their frustration at the system failure during the crucial opening minutes of sales.

The Harambee Stars have exceeded expectations in CHAN 2024.

President William Ruto has backed the squad, making significant financial commitments to motivate the players. The President has pledged that each Harambee Stars player will receive Ksh1 million and a two-bedroom affordable house should they advance beyond the quarterfinals.

In previous commitments, President Ruto awarded each player Ksh1 million for every win, Ksh500,000 for every draw, and Ksh2.5 million for the win against Zambia.

In addition, the ODM leader, Raila Odinga, awarded each of the players KSh500,000 after they qualified for the quarter finals, bringing the total awards to KSh5.5 million.
