WPF Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has been advised to align himself with President William Ruto if he intends to ascend to the presidency in 2032.

Political strategist Mutahi Ngunyi has advised Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF) party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to align himself with President William Ruto if he intends to ascend to the presidency in 2032.

In a brief statement on his socials on Wednesday, September 10, Ngunyi laid out three predictions regarding Kalonzo’s political future.

"Big bro Kalonzo: I am a mercenary for public good. Three predictions: One, you will not be the opposition candidate. Two, if you are, you will lose. Three, your best bet is joining Ruto. Prediction: If you do, you will be president in 2032," he said.

Kalonzo has on several occasions declared that he would never work under Ruto's administration.

For instance, while speaking in Kitui on Friday, July 18, Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi projected that Kalonzo would soon consider working with Ruto and Raila Odinga in the lead-up to the 2027 vote.

The CS asked the former vice president to ditch the opposition and help seek solutions to the Kenyan problems through the dialogue proposed by Raila.

"I respect Kalonzo Musyoka; he is my friend. I am certain that he will soon work with Raila Odinga and President William Ruto, and together they will push Kenya forward. When people talk, there are solutions to our problems," he said.

However, reacting to the call, Kalonzo turned it down, declaring that he would not wish to be part of a regime that unleashes atrocities on the citizenry without a second thought.

The former Vice President also downplayed the proposed dialogue, insisting he would not be party to it.

"I will never join this rogue and criminal regime, and I refuse to participate in any type of dialogue with a regime that has our children's blood on its hands," he stated.

Earlier, on Monday, June 30, Kalonzo said Raila cannot convince him to join Ruto’s camp, saying he will stand on the side of the people.

"There are people who think that Kalonzo can be convinced by Raila to join President Ruto, let them forget that completely. I will be where the people are, and I have realized that this is the best way to do it.

“I was called all sorts of names, and now those who gave me those names have taken them up themselves," he said..

Kalonzo accused Raila of betrayal, saying he stood with him in three successive general elections.

The former Vice President added that Kenyans did not expect the ODM leader to work with the Kenya Kwanza administration.

"I want to make it very clear that Kenyans did not expect that kind of behavior from Raila Odinga. He should reflect on himself.

"We don’t meet with him. I am a national leader. If Raila reaches out to me through a call, we can talk. But that is as far as it can get," he stated.

Further, Kalonzo said that Raila will have to follow the queue in case he decides to rejoin the opposition camp.

"If Raila wants to pull out of the broad-based government, that is okay, but not for me to join him in government. If he joins the opposition, he must follow the queue," he added.
