At least 6 people have been killed after being involved in a road accident at the Kipsitet area along the Kericho-Kisumu highway.

The accident occurred on Tuesday, September 16, after a speeding lorry lost control and rammed into pedestrians who were at a bus stop.

The lorry also ploughed into several boda boda operators who were waiting for customers.

The lorry, which was carrying scrap metals, was heading towards Kisumu when it veered off the road and caused an accident.

Photos of the accident, seen by nairobileo.co.ke, showed the lorry lying on its side with damage to the windscreen and doors.
