The Public Service Commission (PSC) has shortlisted 10 candidates for the position of National Land Commission Chairperson.
In a notice on Wednesday, September 24, PSC said the candidates will be interviewed on Wednesday, October 1, and Thursday, October 2, 2025.
The shortlisted candidates include: Rebecca Kavutha Mutia (Makueni), Abdikadir Oman Aden (Garissa), Gilbert William Opanga (Kakamega), Monicah Namunyak Cherutich (Samburu), and Abuga Kennedy Kaunda (Kisii).
Others are Nelly Karimi Mbugua (Nairobi), Saeed Mutta Mwaguni (Kwale), Justa Wawira Mwangi (Embu), Abdillahi Saggaf Alawy (Kwale), and Humphrey Kimani Njuguna (Murang’a).
The commission also shortlisted 51 candidates for the position of members of the National Land Commission.

The 51 shortlisted candidates will be interviewed from Friday, October 3, 20255, to Tuesday, October 14, 2025.
They include: Lucy Chepkosgei Chepchoekei, Reuben Cheruiyot Rutto, Martin Sangula Ngonati, Gentrix Nassimiyu Ndiyvo, Augustine Khaemba Masinde, Emily Wawira Njeru, Kizito Osero Wangalwa, Edwin Makori, Salome Ludeyyi Munubi, Mokin Agap HSC, Kula Halkano Hatche (PWD), Mary Seneta, James Ruitha, Susan Khakasa Oyatsi, Caroline Chepkurui Chirchir, Charles Kipgeyon Mutai, Kigen Vincent Cherutich, Washington Oyugi Seya, Chimwango Mongo, Juliet Wanjiru Mumbi, and David Ndegwa Kuria.
Other shortlisted candidates for the NLC Members position are: George Augustine Arwa, Domitila Ndinila Kyule, Said Masud Athman, John Mengwa, Abdirahman Mohamed Adan, Ambrose Lockokwe, Daniel Murithi Muriungi, John Mwangi, Maryann Abdillahi Mbaruk, Andrew Okech Ochola, Joseph Mutai, Julius Kiplangat Rotich, Kosion Kibelekenya, and Peter Oiboo.
PSC also shortlisted Lawrence Sialon Esho, Fawcett Ouma Komollo, Elizabeth Atieno, Charles Otieno, Jules Ouma Oseko, Sospeter Oduor, Mohamed Abdi Haji Mohamed, Mohamed Khalif Abdimaham, Tirog Kosegy, Ruth Agesa, Abdi Ali Mohamed, Halima Saney Sheikh, Omar Daud Khalid, Fatuma Abdi, Nelly Karimi Mbugua, and Monica Cherutich.
The interviews will be conducted at the Public Service Commission headquarters, Commission House, Harambee Avenue, Nairobi.
The candidates are required to arrive at the venue at least 30 minutes before the scheduled interview time.
They are also required to carry their national identity card or passport, academic and professional Certificates and Transcripts, and any other supporting documents.
The candidates are further required to present clearance certificates from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), Credit Reference Bureau (CRB), Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), as well as recognition and equation of qualifications from the Commission for University Education (CUE) for any degrees obtained from foreign universities.
