The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has announced temporary job opportunities across the country.
In a notice on Friday, October 3, the commission said it is seeking to recruit voter registration clerks for the 57 Huduma Centres nationwide.
The electoral body also said it is recruiting poll officials ahead of the upcoming by-elections scheduled for November 27, 2025.
“The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) seeks to recruit temporary staff to be engaged in the following capacities: Voter Registration Clerks: across the 57 Huduma centres in the Country. By Election Poll Officials for the following Electoral Units,” the notice read in part.
The by-elections include the Member of Senate seat for Baringo County and six National Assembly seats for Banissa, Kasipul, Magarini, Malava, Mbeere North, and Ugunja constituencies.

IEBC will also hold a by-election for 17 Members of the County Assemblies. This includes: Chewani (Tana River), Fafi (Garissa), Mumbuni North (Machakos), Lake Zone (Turkana), Nanaam (Turkana), Angata Nanyokie (Samburu), Tembeilo (Uasin Gishu), Metkei (Elgeyo Marakwet), and Chemundu (Nandi).
Others are Narok Town (Narok), Purko (Kajiado), Kisa East (Kakamega), Nyamaiya (Nyamira), Ekerenyo (Nyamira), Nyanisongo (Nyamira), Kariobangi North (Nairobi), and Kabuchai (Bungoma).
How to apply
Interested candidates are required to visit https://jobs.iebc.or.ke to apply for the positions.
IEBC noted that the applications must be submitted exclusively through the online platform, not later than October 16, 2025.
The commission also warned that any canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification from the jobs.
“Successful applicants shall be required to work for long hours under the same terms as the exercise may demand,” IEBC added.
The announcement comes days after IEBC launched the resumption of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
The electoral body is planning to register 6.3 million new voters by the end of the drive. In the ongoing phase, IEBC is targeting 10 percent of the 6.3 million target.
The first enhanced CVR, accounting for 40 percent of the target, will be conducted after the conclusion of the November by-elections. IEBC will then conduct the second enhancement CVR in the next financial year.
