Royal Media Services Chairman S.K. Macharia has revealed that ODM leader Raila Odinga is in excellent health and will return to the country soon.
Speaking on Monday, October 1,3 in Siaya County, Macharia disclosed that he had spoken with Raila that very morning and the previous day, confirming that the former Prime Minister is doing well.
"This morning I spoke with Raila. Even yesterday we spoke, and he is very healthy. Walking around and jumping. He will be back with us in a few days," Macharia stated.
The media mogul further revealed that Raila had personally informed him before traveling abroad, emphasizing their close relationship.
"Even the day Raila left, he informed me. He can't leave without informing me. This is my family," he said.

Macharia, who traveled from Murang'a to Siaya, explained his deep bond with the Odinga family, dating back to his relationship with the late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga.
"I came all the way from Murang'a because when mzee Oginga Odinga passed on, he left me two sons. In every election you will hear that I support Raila Odinga. Even when I receive attacks from home, I still support Raila because when I supported his father in the 1992 elections, he made me promise to take care of his two sons, Raila and Oburu Odinga," Macharia revealed.
This comes after Senator Oburu Odinga on Thursday, October 9, dismissed widespread rumors about his brother's health, confirming that the ODM leader is in good condition and recovering in India.
Oburu urged Kenyans to ignore misleading reports on social media and in some media outlets about Raila's wellbeing.
"There have been a lot of rumors about Raila Odinga that he is very sick and almost dying. I want to tell you that Raila is out and about and just like any other human being was disposed a little and he is recuperating and resting but he was not in those conditions which have been reported in the press. He is in India and he will be back soon. Our people should not be worried about that," he said.
Raila's wife, Ida Odinga, had also addressed the rumors earlier, expressing frustration over the misinformation surrounding her husband's health.
Speaking on Tuesday, October 7, Ida assured the public that Raila is well and simply taking a short break.
"Some people claimed that Baba is sick. If he were as bad as they claimed, I would have just brought him to this hospital in Migori. Baba has sent his greetings; he is well and has just taken a short break. I ask you, how would someone who doesn't live with him know, yet I, who live with him, don't know? The truth is, Baba is okay," she said.
