ODM Party has suspended vetting of presidential race aspirants Raila Odinga and Governors Ali Joho and Wycliffe Oparanya.
In a statement sent to newsrooms, the party Secretary General Edwin Sifuna said the vetting will resume after the BBI process.
"After consultations with the party leadership and EB the party has resolved to postpone the remaining NEB processes on this matter to focus on the BBI process. The NEB will therefore suspend the vetting and/or further processing of the applications until after the conclusion of the BBI process," the statement read in part.
On Thursday Odinga said he will now battle it out with the other three ODM’s presidential candidates for the ODM party 2022 presidential ticket after their successful submission of the application for the post.
The party said the three candidates submitted their applications before March 31, 2021 deadline that was set.
