The Nursing Council of Kenya has offered candidates who failed the August 2025 licensure examination another opportunity to retake the test early next year.
In a notice issued on Wednesday, November 5, the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) announced that unsuccessful candidates from the August 2025 Licensure Examination will have the opportunity to retake the examination between February 17 and 20, 2026.
The Council stated that the decision was made after careful consideration of the circumstances facing candidates who did not pass the initial examination.
"The Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) wishes to inform candidates who were not successful in the August 2025 Licensure Examination that the Council has made a consideration for them to re-sit the examination between 17th and 20th February 2026," the notice read.
The NCK announced that the application period for the February 2026 examination will run from November 10 to December 31, 2025, giving candidates nearly two months to register for the re-sit.
