The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has launched a three-month Industrial Attachment Programme targeting university and college students seeking practical experience in various fields.
In a statement released on Friday, November 21, the tax collection agency invited applications from continuing undergraduate students in their third, fourth, and final years, as well as diploma students in their final year, for the January to March 2026 intake.
The programme, which supports the government's Youth Initiative to develop a pool of young talent for the Kenyan labor market, aims to provide students with an opportunity to acquire practical aspects of their respective areas of specialization in partial fulfillment of their degree requirements.
KRA is offering attachment opportunities across a wide range of departments within the Authority, covering disciplines in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Supply Chain Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing and Communication, Communications, International Relations, Diplomacy, Public Relations, Media Studies, Photography, Videography, and Film Production.
The programme also extends to students studying Animation, ICT, Telecommunications, Food and Beverage, Hotel Management, Housekeeping and Laundry Management, Records Management, Records and Archives, Library and Information Science, Security and Safety, Security Management, Criminology, Criminal Justice, and Forensics.

The deadline for applications is Monday, November 24, 2025.
All applications must be submitted online via the process outlined on the KRA Careers page. Applicants can only apply for the opportunity after successfully registering on the authority's e-recruitment portal.
Interested candidates are encouraged to apply promptly through the KRA Careers page at www.kra.go.ke before the deadline.

This initiative mirrors similar programmes by other state agencies, including the Communications Authority of Kenya, which recently opened three-month student attachment opportunities across 17 departments for students pursuing various fields related to the ICT industry, telecommunications, broadcasting, and postal services.
Candidates interested in the communications authority opportunities should submit their applications online through the link https://careers.ca.go.ke/OA_HTML/IrcVisitor.jsp. Applicants are required to attach a one-page CV, a cover letter specifying the department of interest, and a letter from their institution confirming enrollment and support for the attachment.
The deadline for applications is November 21 at 5:00 p.m., East Africa Time. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interviews.
