14 people have been arrested in Uasin Gishu county over a chaotic incident that saw ODM leader Raila Odinga's convoy pelted with stones leaving his chopper's window broken.

Area county commissioner Stephen Kihara said that some leaders connected to the incident will also be arrested over the incident.

The county boss said the arrested have provided crucial leads that will help in the arrest of others involved in the planning of the heckling incident.

'We will not allow that to happen in our country and anyone doing that will not be tolerated," said Kihara. 

Investigations into the incident are still undergoing.

Raila who was with his campaign team was attacked at Mzee Kibor's home.

The ODM leader had attended the burial of the politician.

The incident has attracted condemnation across the political divide with Deputy President William Ruto leading his team in condemning the incident.

Raila in his statement blamed Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago and  Soy MP Caleb Kositany for the incident.

Junet told Citizen TV that the two behaved suspiciously prior to the chaotic incident.
