Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions across 10 counties, including Nairobi and Nakuru, on Wednesday.

Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions across 10 counties on Wednesday, December 3.

In a notice on Tuesday, December 2, the company said the interruptions are meant to facilitate scheduled maintenance works.

Nairobi County will be among the most affected, with outages expected in Mihango, Garage Road and parts of Rosslyn. 

In Mihango, power will be switched off from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., affecting Kenya Builders, Karagitha, Part Mihango, Comboni, Maono, Twiga, Kwa Kados, Medina, Royal Ambassadors and adjacent customers. 

Garage Road and its surrounding areas will also be off from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 

Meanwhile, parts of Rosslyn, including the Canadian Embassy, the Residence of the American Embassy, Rosslyn Lone Tree and nearby customers, will be affected from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

In Nakuru County, Kabarak University and Mangu areas will face a full-day outage from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Areas affected include the whole of Kabarak University, Kabarak Guest House, Kabarak High School, Ka-barak Bakery, Upper Mangu, Maraga Farm, Ngata Kaptich, Kirobon AGC, Olrongai, Tulwobmoi, Marigo B, part of Rafiki Farm, Oloika, Raw Hide and adjacent customers.

Kericho County will also experience interruptions, specifically in the Kenegut Market area. 

From 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., power will be off in Torsogik Dispensary, Mochorwa Dispensary, Moi Sitotwet and adjacent customers.

In Bomet County, the areas of Olpisiai and GK Prisons will be without electricity from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Affected locations include GK Prisons Kilgoris, Olpisai, Lolgorian, Mararianda, Kichwa Tembo, Angama, Partakilat, Mara Engai, Mara West, Angata Barrikoi, Gwitembe, Ol-donyorok, Masurura and adjacent customers.

Siaya County will see outages in the Usenge area between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. 

The interruption will affect Usenge, Wangarot, Nyamunye, Jaramogi University, Wambasa, Uhanya and adjacent customers.

In Nyeri County, an extensive list of areas will be affected from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

These include Gatura Market, Gatura Village, Kamunyaka C/Fact, Ihara Village, Miri C/Fact, Miiri Kiawaiguru, Miiri Village, Kiangai Market, Kianyage Village, Kiangai C/Fact, Kiriko TBC, Gitundumo TBC, Kaharo TBC, Kiambagathi Village, Kiahiti TBC, Kianwe Market, Thunguri C/Fact, Karerahungu Village, Borokero Village, Kiangai Maganjo Village, Safaricom Boosters, Airtel Boosters and adjacent customers.

Kirinyaga County will also be affected, with outages planned in Difathers and Kamunyange from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Areas set to be off include Difathers Market, Kamunyange Village, Kajiji Market, Kathiriku Market, Ichangi Village, Karuangi Market, Mugamba Ciura and adjacent customers.

In Kiambu County, power will be cut from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Witeithie, Kibute and Ndarugu. 

Affected customers include Total Gattu, Cravers Hotel, TIBS, Vincentian Prayer House, Mangu High, Compuer a High, Ndarugu Coffee Estate, Witeithie Estate, Kibute, parts of Ngoingwa, Thiwasco, Albizzia Tola, Ukombozi and adjacent customers.

Kitui County will see outages in Kyuso, Katse and Tseikuru between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. 

Areas affected include Gai, Kyuso, Kakoongo, Mivukoni, Nguuni, Mwangea, Ngongoni, Clampiu, Kamusiliu, Tseikuru, Katse and adjacent customers.

In Taita Taveta County, power will be off from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. around Sir Ramson Primary School and adjacent customers.
