The Kenya Meteorological Department has predicted rainfall in 6 regions this weekend.
In a weather forecast on Friday, December 19, the Met Department announced that rainfall is expected over the Highlands east and west of the Rift Valley, the Rift Valley, and the Lake Victoria Basin regions.
The weatherman also predicted that showers will persist in the Coastal and South-Eastern lowlands regions.
“Rainfall is expected to persist over the Highlands east and west of the Rift Valley, the Rift Valley region, the Lake Victoria Basin, and the Coastal and South-Eastern lowlands,” the forecast read.
According to the Weatherman, in the Highlands west of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, and the Rift Valley, mornings will experience rainfall, while afternoons and nights will see showers in a few places.

In the Highlands east of the Rift Valley, which includes Nairobi and Kiambu counties, mornings will be cloudy, breaking into sunny intervals, while afternoons and nights will experience showers in a few places.
Meanwhile, the coast region will experience showers in the morning, while afternoons and evenings will have light showers over a few places.
The Met Department also warned of strong southeasterly winds, exceeding 25 knots (12.5 m/s) in Turkana and Marsabit counties.
The forecast comes days after the weatherman predicted rainfall across 7 regions this week.
In a weather forecast on Tuesday, December 16, the Met Department said rainfall is expected in the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Rift Valley, Lake Victoria Basin, Coast, Northeastern, and southeastern lowland regions.
At the same time, the Met Department predicted that maximum daytime average temperatures of more than 30°C will be experienced in the Coast, Northeastern and North-western Kenya, as well as over some parts of the South-eastern lowlands, the Rift Valley and the Highlands West of the Rift Valley.
Further, the Met Department announced that the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the Rift Valley, and areas in the vicinity of Mt. Kilimanjaro would experience minimum night-time average temperatures of less than 10°C.
