The court has allowed police to detain key suspects Benjamin Saitoti, David Sempuan for 10 more days to conclude the investigations.
Detectives said Wambua received Sh2.7 million, just a week before she was killed, and withdrew Sh2 million a day before she disappeared.
Sleuths believe that the Sh2 million she withdrew and the large sums of money she was receiving from NLC, including an Sh6 million payment are part of the reasons she was killed.
According to detectives, the money was from her employer and was to be used to pay suppliers for a project she was overseeing.
Police believe that Saitoti and Sempuan have information that will help in leading them to the people who dumped the body in the forest.
