Archbishop Anthony Muheria was put on the spot he was asked whether he would consider running for President.

Catholic Archbishop Anthony Muheria was on Monday, April 3 put on the spot by Citizen TV's Trevor Ombija after he was asked whether he would consider running for President.

Responding to Ombija, Archbishop Muheria noted that he would never consider running for President. 

“Certainly not, I’m running for Bishop and we are serving the people of God in much bigger ways than any of those political. If it was not for the service to church, even the leaders will have nowhere to stand,” he stated. 

The Catholic Archbishop addressed a wide variety of issues urging politicians to be accommodating to each other.

He noted that Kenyans will be the ones to determine the outcomes of this election by going out to vote. 

"Kenyans are the ones who will determine the outcome of this election by going out to vote & not allowing corruption to be the determinant. It is about us upping our game and having the courage to do what is right," Archbishop Muheria stated. 

He added, “Be authentic and if you lose its fine you have another chance. It is not a do or die; let’s go to the polls with a feeling of competition but not a feeling of confrontation. It is not that you must necessarily put down your competitor, you just have to sell yourself to the people.”
