A police officer was among five people arrested on terror charges.
Reports indicate that the suspects were nabbed in Mtito Andei with explosives. The arrests are the latest in the fight against terrorism in Kenya.
Last month anti-terror police detectives arrested a mother and daughter who were ferrying firearms into Kenya for terror activities.
Goretti Mwihia and her daughter, Joyce Muthoni Mwihia, were arrested in Racecourse, Dagoretti area with an assortment of weapons.
Detectives found them with an M4 sniper rifle, with an effective range of 500 metres, and more than 3,700 rounds of ammunition.
