On Thursday, August 6, Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua sensationally claimed that the people who leaked classified government information to him are from President William Ruto's office.
Speaking during an engagement with leaders in Nakuru, Gachagua stated that the individuals, whose identity he vowed to protect, fed him information because they did not trust President William Ruto's leadership.
He further asked his former boss not to try to unearth those who were feeding him information, adding that he would never find out who they were.
"These are very patriotic Kenyans, and they realised that Riggy Gee is a truthful man, and when they feed me with intel, I will relay it as required, and without blackmailing anyone.
"When he was launching Vision 2060, it was people from his office who leaked the information to me. Most of them are my people," Gachagua reiterated.

The DCP Leader further alleged that informers were concerned about the government's extravagance, yet some of them were not paid well enough. He advised Ruto on how to seal the leaks in his office.
"If you don't want me to get information, ensure that those working around you are well taken care of. Make sure they get some of the money that you are dishing out to those visiting State House," he chided.
Gachagua termed the intel exchange as a Mau Mau operation due to the level of secrecy involved. He further released fresh intel about a crisis in the Immigration Department.
According to the ex-DP, civil servants at the State Department of Immigration allegedly intimated to him that there was a funding crisis, which halted passport printing services.
He sensationally claimed that the funds meant for the services were allegedly rewired elsewhere by a Cabinet Secretary, who was on a quest to become the next kingpin in his region.
Gachagua claimed that the CS used the money to fund his allies to run for political office. The leaders would then become his support base when he decides to run for the presidency in future.
The DCP leader challenged the media to visit Immigration Offices to verify or denounce his claims.
