Gachagua mocked President Ruto over the fracas witnessed during his tour of Narok County.

Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) Leader Rigathi Gachagua on Wednesday, August 26, mocked President William Ruto over the fracas witnessed during his tour of Narok County.

Gachagua stated that the clash between supporters of Emurua Dikirr MP David Keter and his rival Bernard 'Buluu' Ngeno during Ruto's tour happened because the President had failed to address the issue of goons.

He reminded him of a previous warning that goons would soon embarrass him, and it was a matter of when, not if.

"I told you that one day goons will eat you. Today in Emurua Dikirr, an area synonymous with the Kipsigis people, goons came to your meeting and beat up people.

"I told you that you have no control over goons and if you use them, they will hurt you and your people," he stated.

The former Deputy President further commended the Kikuyu Constituency residents for maintaining peace during his tour, despite his bad blood with area MP Kimani Ichung'wah.

"I am happy that here in the Mountain, the youths have decided that goons will not be used to hurt people. I am told that Ichung'wah attempted to cause chaos, but the youth said that they will not be used to harm their fellow Kikuyus," he stated.

The DCP Boss called for Ichung'wah's removal from office, stating that he was the biggest traitor of the Kikuyu Community. He further claimed that the plan to remove Kiambu from the Mountain would flop.

Gachagua popularised his DCP party in the area, stating that this time round, the Mount Kenya Region will not go into an election under anybody else's party.

Earlier, Ruto turned to his local language, Kalenjin, to lecture leaders and locals after the fracas. He maintained that he will not condone any violence or fighting in the region.

"You are holding a club so that you use it to hit your brother; are you okay in your head? To the leaders, what is the purpose of holding meetings to divide the people? Why do you want to spill your brother's blood?" President Ruto questioned.

He maintained that the leaders should be focused on more important things such as providing education, building roads, setting up markets. creating a good business environment, and ensuring power and water connection.

The Head of State launched several projects in Emurua Dikirr, including the Mamboleo Modern Market, a university, and an 18-kilometre road.
