Wiper Patriotic Front Leader has made three fresh demands to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) ahead of the 2027 Elections.
Speaking on Thursday, August 27, Kalonzo asked IEBC whether the voter register was open to audit.
He also questioned if the election technology is being procured transparently and can be tested before the polling day.
Kalonzo noted that Kenyans will not condone another stolen election, stating that a stolen or mismanaged poll does not remain a legal problem.
"It becomes a security problem, then a humanitarian one, and then a scar that outlives the people who caused it. We must not be taken there again," he stated.
The Wiper Leader intimated that the United Opposition has called a consultative meeting on October 9, where Kenyans will submit questions to the Electoral Commission about election preparedness.
"Before October 9, IEBC must come out clearly about their procurement processes. We hope they will be able to deliberate on these things transparently."
"Procurement of election material and systems is a key component; they have a duty to ensure that all the stakeholders are comfortable. If the allegations are true, then we already have a serious verdict against the new IEBC," he added.
The former Vice President also wants IEBC to declare whether the boundaries review will still happen within the constitutional timelines.
Kalonzo ruled out supporting any Constitutional amendment that shrinks devolution, weakens independent commissions, tames the Judiciary, adjusts term limits or engineers officers to settle elite bargains
He further promised to continue fighting to protect the Constitution on its 16th anniversary, and push for the realisation of the Kenya envisioned by it.
Earlier, President William Ruto hosted other leaders at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) for the 16th anniversary celebration and symposium.
Ruto engaged with several leaders and constitutional experts about the journey in implementing the Constitution. He admitted that he himself had fallen short, but acknowledged that several strides had been made.
