Babu stated that  Linda Mwananchi would hold a major rally at the historic grounds.

Embakasi East Member of Parliament (MP) Babu Owino has invited Nairobi residents and Kenyans to what he termed will be Linda Mwananchi's biggest and most entertaining rally.

Speaking on Monday, September 7, Babu revealed that Linda Mwananchi will hold a major rally at Jacaranda Grounds in Embakasi East constituency.

He intimated that the rally would be the final stop after the faction holds multiple stops during its tour of Nairobi County.

"Nairobians and Kenyans, make sure that on Sunday, September 13, you are free. From 6a.m, we will have a mega rally at Jacaranda Grounds in Embakasi East. Come one, come all.

"Will release the routes of our rally on Friday or Saturday. This will be the biggest and most entertaining rally," Babu stated.

The lawmaker sensationally claimed that the government planned to deploy goons to disrupt the rally using goons. He alleged that the organised gangs were under instructions to steal from residents and supporters.

Babu welcomed the goons to the rally, but only to listen to what the Linda Mwananchi team had to say. He, however, warned that nobody would be afforded space to disrupt the rally. 

"To the goons, come and listen to the message; we are fighting for you, not against you. We want to ensure that the government delivers, that you get jobs. We want to offer you an alternative government," he stated.

The MP promised that all politicians who are involved in the alleged deployment of goons would be named and shamed during the rally.

Several leaders allied to the faction have confirmed their attendance, including Siaya Governor James Orengo, who skipped the last tour in Embu County.

Earlier, the National Police Service (NPS) reminded politicians and Kenyans that the Public Order Act will be implemented fully even as the country heads into the 2027 election campaign period.

NPS Spokesperson Muchiri Nyaga stated that any notice of political gatherings must be submitted between three and 14 days before the rally.

Nyaga added that the police have the right to deny permission for rallies, or even postpone them if they establish security risks ahead of the planned campaigns.
