Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa has announced changes affecting four senior county officials as part of efforts to enhance service delivery in the county.
In an executive changes notice dated Wednesday, September 23, Barasa moved two County Executive Committee Members (CECMs) to new dockets while also reshuffling two chief officers.
The changes saw Angela Muchai move from the Lands, Housing, Urban Areas and Physical Planning docket to Trade, Tourism and Industrialization.
Godfrey Owori, who previously served as CECM for Trade, Tourism and Industrialization, was transferred to the Lands, Housing, Urban Areas and Physical Planning docket.
The governor also announced changes involving the Youth, Sports and Library Services and Tourism and Industrialisation departments.

Lawrence Mukoyani, who previously served as Chief Officer for Youth, Sports & Library Services, was appointed Chief Officer for Tourism and Industrialisation.
Saxon Kweyu, who previously served as Chief Officer for Tourism and Industrialisation, was moved to the Youth, Sports & Library Services docket.
"In order to enhance effective and efficient service delivery, the following changes have been deemed necessary," the notice stated.
Elsewhere, this comes days after forrmer Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga set the record straight about a Gazette Notice, where her name appeared among a list of appointments made by Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen.
In a statement issued on Saturday, August 19, she clarified that she is not Millicent Kerubo Omanga, whom Murkomen appointed as a member of the Shikusa Borstal Institution Board of Advisors.
Omanga said that while she shared her first and last name with the appointee, their middle name was different.
She called out those trying to push a narrative that she was still in cahoots with the government, maintaining that she was steadfast in the United Opposition.
"My full name is Millicent Nyaboke Omanga. Those spreading propaganda, sorry," she responded while sharing a screenshot of the Gazette Notice.
Omanga ditched the ruling party, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), for the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) in March, citing conflict in ideology and beliefs,
Following her departure, Defence Cabinet Secretary Soipan Tuya revoked her appointment as a Member of the Board of Directors of Kenya Shipyards Limited.
Reacting to the decision, Omanga was shocked, stating that she was not even aware that she was still a board member.
