Ruto reminded the ODM and UDA leaders to unite against their common enemy.
On Friday, October 2, President William Ruto brokered peace between ODM and UDA leaders in Mombasa amid a prolonged battle of supremacy in the county.
Ruto pleaded with ODM and UDA leaders contesting for elective seats in the county not to fight one another because they are in the broad-based government.
He asked them to work together and address their issues amicably instead of resorting to public spats.
The Head of State said that the leaders should unite against a common enemy, those in the United Opposition, who are trying to remove the broad-based government from office,
"Mombasa is Broad-based; I have seen Orange and Yellow. I want to plead with you, those from the Orange Party and Yellow Party, you are one. I ask with great humility; let us not quarrel and fight. Let's stick together because we are siblings.

"Our enemies are those who have no agenda, plan or policies. When I say 'Broad-based', say 'Tuko Pamoja' because that is what we are," he stated.
In Kilifi, the Head of State sustained his attacks on Linda Mwananchi, accusing the faction of alleged extortion.
Ruto warned the traders in the local markets and area residents not to contribute their money during the roadside fundraisers that Senator Edwin Sifuna is synonymous with.
"There are some conmen who will come here with troughs and basins and ask you for your money. They will claim that they need the money to fund their campaigns.
"Those are the biggest extortionists, and don't contribute to them. In Nairobi, they consume expensive alcohol with two English names, yet when they come here they pretend to be poor," the President stated.
He claimed that such leaders are dangerous, adding that they can even go as far as extorting investors.
Meanwhile, Sifuna and Linda Mwananchi received a boost from the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties, which approved their request to reserve the party name ahead of its registration.
The ORPP stated that the reservation of the Linda Mwananchi Movement (LMM) is only valid for 90 days.
