Otiambo is survived by six children: Grace Moraa Ochoi, David Nyangau, Simon Monari, Eunice Kemuma, Job Miranga, and Florence Nyanchama and 53 grandchildren.
Her passing leaves the former President of the Judiciary with only one surviving sibling, his brother, James Ochengo.
On September 28, the People's Liberation Front Leader Martha Karua lost her father, Mwalimu Jackson Karua.
Karua said her father died after she and her siblings visited him in Kirinyaga County. She described his passing as a profound loss to her family and those who knew him.
She said they spent time with him and sang one of his favourite gospel hymns, unaware that it would be their final time together.
Several leaders, including President William Ruto and former President Uhuru Kenyatta, sent their condolence messages.
Ruto eulogised the late Mwalimu Karua as a man who devoted his life to teaching and service, touching generations through his work and leaving a lasting impact on many lives.
On his part, Uhuru condoled with the PLP Leader and her family. He remembered the deceased as a man whose life was defined by principled leadership, dedication to education, strong character and deep love for his family.
