Sfuna announced the rally will be held on October 31, nearly two months after the Nairobi tour.

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna announced that the Linda Mwananchi Movement will hold its first rally following its registration as a political party.

In an announcement made on Tuesday, October 19, Sifuna said that the next tour will be in Kwale County.

He added that the rally will be held on Saturday, October 31. The Nairobi Senator revealed that Kenyans had reached out to him asking about the next rally almost one month after the tour of Nairobi County.

"Since you have been asking for a rally for a long time, let us meet in Kwale," Sifuna wrote as he shared a poster of the tour.

The poster also included a PayBill Number for any Kenyan who wanted to make a financial donation towards the rally.

Sifuna earlier stated that the Linda Mwananchi rallies are jointly funded by the people who support the outfit, and some of the leaders who are affiliated with the newly registered party.

He added that he keeps some of the cash donated by traders in markets, stating that they serve as a reminder of the people's support and his commitment to them.

Elsewhere,  Siaya Governor James Orengo expressed his concern over what he claims are unsolicited attacks on the late Raila Odinga's widow, Mama Ida, by high-ranking ODM party members.

Orengo said the attacks were coordinated and mobilised, and termed the attacks a betrayal of the departed former ODM Leader.

"Ida Odinga was not just Raila’s wife but a fighter in the struggle against oppression, injustice and despotism. The vitriol and propaganda directed against the Raila Odinga family smacks of treachery and betrayal.

"The language used by the mercenaries was slowly seeping to the surface even when Jakom was still alive. They have sold the Party and now want to throw Raila Odinga’s legacy into the dustbin of history. It will never happen," Orengo wrote.

The conflict began when some of the leaders questioned the invitation list of the anniversary celebrations.

Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohammed publically declared that he did not attend the event because Mama Ida had invited the DCP Leader Rigathi Gachagua.
