Mosiria claimed that his sacking was only a matter of time and traced his fallout with Sakaja to December 2023.
Former Nairobi County Chief Officer Geoffrey Mosiria has broken his silence after Governor Johnson Sakaja fired him and reassigned his roles to Zipporah Njeri Mwangi in the latest cabinet reshuffle.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, October 21, Mosiria claimed that Sakaja's reshuffle today was a formality of what had happened in 2023.
He claimed that the Governor had initially stripped him of his mandate in December 2023, and reassigned them to junior officers.
"Thank you, my boss, for making my sacking official. However, what you forgot to tell Nairobi residents and Kenyans is that you effectively dismissed me on 28th December 2023, when you took away my constitutionally assigned mandate as an Accounting Officer and handed it to my junior officers as per the attached memo, which was unprocedural," Mosiria wrote.
The former CEC further accused him of frustrating him when he was in charge of the Health docket and allegedly subjected him to humiliation by giving him assignments that should ideally have been done by junior officers.

He added that he was subjected to other attacks by the County Chief privately and in public, but chose to maintain his silence over it.
"I endured frustrations, official WhatsApp group attacks, public attacks, and a court case that nearly saw me jailed for six months over alleged contempt of court, which was well planned to kick me out of office and when I asked why, what followed was a transfer to customer service ( Public Participation, Citizens Engagement and Customer Service). I remained silent even as bloggers called for my resignation.
"All I wanted was an opportunity to work, deliver for Nairobians, and earn back your trust," Mosiria wrote.
Mosiria claimed that since December 23, he has tried to make amends with the governor, but his grievances went unheard. He accused Sakaja of frustrating efforts to access him on phone and physically.
The ex-CEC said that he remains humbled by the opportunity he was afforded to serve the people of Nairobi and reaffirMed his bid to unseat Sakaja in 2027.
"Today, I am humbled that Nairobi residents are calling upon me to serve them as their governor. I have endured the pain, learned from the challenges, and I am ready to serve," he wrote.
Mosiria sensationally claimed that Sakaja planned to jail him in a bid to stop his ascent to Nairobi's top office. He expressed hope that the people of Nairobi know who belongs to jail and who should serve them
Sakaja also assigned Nairobi CEC for Housing and Urban Renewal, Godfrey Akumali, new responsibilities. Akumali will also be in charge of Lands following the latest county cabinet reshuffle.
