“Wishing you a quick recovery and renewed strength. By God’s grace, the devil's plans shall be defeated,” he wrote.

Mosiria also confirmed he had been hospitalized and asked his supporters and Kenyans to remember him in their prayers.

The former Nairobi county chief officer expressed confidence that he would recover soon.

“Today, I humbly ask you, my fans and everyone who has been walking this journey with me, to remember me in your prayers. Even those who always appear strong need time to rest, heal, and be lifted by God.

“I may not always have the strength to show up as I normally do, but my heart remains with the people I serve. I believe God is in control, and with His grace, I will overcome this difficult moment,” Mosiria stated.

This comes a week after Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja sacked Mosiria and reassigned his roles to Zipporah Njeri Mwangi.

In a post after he was fired, Mosiria claimed that Sakaja's reshuffle today was a formality of what had happened in 2023.

He claimed that the Governor had initially stripped him of his mandate in December 2023, and reassigned them to junior officers.

"Thank you, my boss, for making my sacking official. However, what you forgot to tell Nairobi residents and Kenyans is that you effectively dismissed me on 28th December 2023, when you took away my constitutionally assigned mandate as an Accounting Officer and handed it to my junior officers as per the attached memo, which was unprocedural," Mosiria wrote.
