"I think it is a very solemn spiritual role to play. It was the highlight of my career so far."

Citizen TV Journalist Yvonne Okwara has broken her silence following an impressive performance during the second tier of the 2022 presidential debate.

Okwara teamed up with Spice FM journalist Eric Latiff in grilling the two leading presidential candidates' debate.

However, ODM leader Raila Odinga boycotted the debate leaving Deputy President William Ruto to face the two moderators alone.

Roots Party Candidate George Wajackoya also boycotted leaving Agano's Candidate David Wahiga Mwaure to debate alone.

While reacting to the debate, Yvonne said it was a key highlight of her career.

She said it was her biggest platform yet and the lessons learnt from the function will be fondly remembered.

"I think it is a very solemn spiritual role to play. It was the highlight of my career so far. That stage is big for the candidates. It is also big for the journalist conducting the debate. It is something that I will remember- the good and the bad. I was honoured to have played that special duty," she stated.

Yvonne Okwara and her counterpart Latiff became an instant sensation after they put the DP to the task to explain his role in the Jubilee administration.

The two were lauded for pushing the DP to the corner to explain key crucial things affecting the Kenyan economy.

Yvonne has about 16 years of experience in the journalism field and is therefore well known for his journalistic activities.

She first worked with KTN news before being poached by Citizen TV.
