"Dear Moses Kuria, I am a woman who must be allowed to campaign without violence," Gathoni wa Muchomba.

Chama Cha Kazi (CCK) party leader Moses Kuria was chased away from a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) rally in Kiambu County.

The Gatundu South legislator took to Facebook to lament over the incident.

"Gathoni wa Muchomba and UDA, for chasing me from a Kenya Kwanza meeting, I forgive you," Kuria stated.

In the video attached, Gathoni wa Muchomba is heard saying, "Mkutano ni yangu, usiniharibie mkutano. I don't want to be harassed."

She later posted on Facebook, "Dear Moses Kuria, I am a woman who must be allowed to campaign without violence; you stormed into my meeting without even respect as your colleague just because I am a woman? If it was a man's meeting would you force yourself in uninvited? You even demanded to address the meeting by force? You have abused me and other women in vulgarity in the past and i forgave you. Now you are at it again. Nakuachia Mungu Alindaye wamama."

Gathoni wa Muchomba is seeking the Githunguri parliamentary seat on a UDA ticket.

Moses Kuria is seeking the Kiambu gubernatorial seat on a CCK ticket, one of the affiliate parties in Kenya Kwanza.

At the same time, Kuria has claimed that his competitor  Kimani wa Matangi is receiving more security than him from the police service.

"Dear IG Mutyambai you are providing police in Uniforms in 3 land rovers under the command of an OCS to my competitor Kimani wa Matangi for all his meetings. It happened on Wednesday in Mungere in Lari and yesterday in Ngegu, Kiambu Town. Not even Governor James Nyoro is getting this level of security. Treat us all equally," the MP said.
