The prosecution further indicated that the MCA was suspected of involvement in other mobile phone theft incidents reported in Nairobi in August and September 2026, involving consignments worth millions of shillings.
'Investigators have linked the accused to two other alleged mobile phone theft incidents in Nairobi in August and September 2026, involving consignments valued at Sh1.8 million and Ksh420,000, respectively," the statement added.
According to the prosecution, the three incidents involved mobile phones valued at a combined Ksh4,906,050.
The prosecution opposed Musyoka's release on bail, raising concerns about his previous conduct in court proceedings and the possibility that he could fail to attend future hearings.
"Prosecution opposed the accused's release on bail, citing concerns over his alleged previous failure to attend court proceedings, arguing that he posed a risk of absconding," the statement further read.

Separately, investigators asked the court to grant them 15 days to detain the MCA to allow them to complete investigations into the alleged offences, including recording witness statements, conducting forensic analysis of CCTV footage and pursuing suspected accomplices.
Principal Magistrate Geoffrey Onsarigo ordered that Musyoka be remanded at Kamukunji Police Station pending a further hearing scheduled for November 5, 2026.
