The DCP party leader extended his condolences to Nyangari's children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the wider Reriani family.
“I extend my most sincere condolences to her daughter Waithera, her son Murimi, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the entire Reriani family. My family shares in the pain and grief of each and every one of us,” he wrote.
Further, Gachagua thanked God for the 77 years Nyangari lived, adding that the family will miss her warmth, wise counsel and the precious moments they shared.
“We will deeply miss her wise counsel, warmth and the precious moments we shared. Eunice was a happy and warm soul who lit up our hearts. We pray that her soul may rest in peace and that perpetual light may shine upon her forever,” added Gachagua.
The loss comes four years after Gachagua lost his eldest brother, Jack Reriani, who passed away on September 24, 2022.
In a statement, Gachagua said his brother’s demise came after attending post-inauguration celebrations in Karen.
"We spent quality time for three days during our inauguration. You were so happy, jovial, and full of life. We shared beautiful moments of our life back in the village. I had the opportunity to thank you for paying my school fees in high school. We agreed on your enhanced role to lead the Kirigo family in view of my National duties," Gachagua wrote.
In May 2022, Gachagua also lost his brother, James Reriani Gachagua, after a long illness.
