Four CECs have been fired over claims of abuse of office and incompetence in Vihiga County.
On Tuesday Governor Wilber Ottichilo sacked the four CECs who were impeached last week.
The four are Amos Kutwa (Health), Pamela Kimwele (Administration, and Coordination of County Affairs and ICT), Paul Mbuni (Lands and Physical Planning), and Kenneth Kilavuna Keseko (Trade, Industry, Tourism and Entrepreneurship).
Kutwa was accused of not railing in health workers while Kimwele was accused of poor coordination of county public service pending bills and implementation of County Assembly resolutions.
Kimwele was further accused of seizing the powers of the County Public Service Board and sabotaging the work of the office of the County Secretary.

MCAs claimed Kimwele was unable to solve the issue of ghost workers and poor coordination of county public service.
Mbuni was impeached for refusal to provide information on a project, which a report said amounted to concealment of information from a committee of the House contrary to Article 195 of the Constitution.
The Ward Reps impeached Kilavuna for failing to honour invitations by the committee and disregarding committee summons.
