The ODM party through its National Chairman John Mbadi has revealed that its working to finalise its 2022 coalition alliance negotiations with the Jubilee party before the end of July 2021.
According to Mbadi, by end of July, the two parties will have agreed on the major issues around the alliance, adding that more details like the structure will be revealed later.
He noted that at the moment, plans are in place to have the party leadership and other key party organs endorse the proposals in regards to the coalition, before the same is made formal.
“Just give it like a month and you will see everything taking shape…You can take it to the bank that from July, the alliance will take shape. However, the nature of the architecture will be determined later,” he told a local daily.

Meanwhile, Jubilee Party’s National Management Committee is today expected to meet with its leaders from the Senate and National Assembly to finalise on the nature of its engagement with ODM.
"The meeting will craft a framework of how the party will engage with ODM and other parties for a broader alliance ahead of 2022,” Jubilee deputy secretary-general Joshua Kutuny said as quoted by a local daily.
Both parties are also involved in an in-house rejuvenation exercise to their houses in order ahead of the 2022 polls.
Early this week, ODM waved membership registration fees for a period of three months in a bid to encourage more Kenyans to the party.
On the other hand, Jubilee has organized a Parliamentary Group meeting for later this month after some members complained that none had been held in the second term of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
