Elgeyo Marakwet Senator, Kipchumba Murkomen has reacted after Marafiki FC gifted ODM leader Raila Odinga with a jersey, on Friday.
The club handed the gift to the former Prime Minister after he attended the funeral of Mama Esther Ngonyo Githaiga, mother to Hon. Mumbi Ng’aru in Nyeri.
Murkomen in a tweet asked to know who the official owner of the No.9 jersey was pointing out that Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala had also been handed the jersey.
Odinga has always claimed to be a no.9. His jersey, however, did not show the number.
The former Senate majority leader teased that before his number is also given to Junet Mohamed, the people of Nyeri should be consulted before hand.

"Hon. @kaninikega1 Between Baba and @Cleophasmalala who is the official Marafiki No.9 ? Is this how building bridges works? Before you hand over my jersey number to @JunetMohamed make sure you consult Nyeri hustlers. Don’t ever say I didn’t warn you," said Murkomen.
The ODM leader met Marafiki FC which plays for Division 2 in the FKF league.
"I met Marafiki FC team members who play Divison 2 football and they presented me with one of their club's jerseys at the home of Hon. Kanini Kega. It would be great to one day see them ply their trade in the national league. Asanteni na kila la kheri," said Odinga in a tweet.
