According to reports on Citizen Digital, the vocal
legislator was unable to raise the required amount thus she won’t be able to be
set free.
Jumwa was on Friday released on Sh4m cash bail or a surety
of the same amount after spending four nights in police custody over murder
charges.
Her bodyguard Geoffrey Otieno, who is her co-accused in the case,
was also released but on different terms. He is to pay either a cash bail of

Appearing at the Mombasa High Court on Friday, the two were directed to surrender their passports to the court.
Presiding Judge Lady Njoki Mwangi Justice cautioned
the two against interfering with suspects in the case, noting any such reports
could lead to cancellation of their bail terms.
Jumwa and Otieno are accused of being involved in the murder
of Ngumbao Jola; a 48-year-old-man who died during chaos that occurred during
campaigns for a by-election in Ganda Ward last year.
Jumwa and Otieno have, however, dismissed the claims.
