On Tuesday, photos surfaced of a meeting between Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru.
Taking to Twitter, Waiguru explained that during the meeting with the former Vice President, they discussed among other issues; the economy, national unity and women actively participating in political leadership.
Kalonzo who was in the company of a host of Wiper elected MPs, paid a courtesy call to the Kirinyaga Governor ahead of his Mt. Kenya tour.
“It was a pleasure hosting Wiper Party Leader H.E @skmusyoka, his MPs and other leaders who paid me a courtesy call at the official County residence in Kirinyaga. We deliberated on National Unity, the Economy & especially women Inclusivity in national political leadership,” said Waiguru.
Prior to their meeting at Governor Waiguru’s official residence, Kalonzo met Embu Governor Martin Wambora.

This week, Kalonzo will be on an extensive tour of Mt Kenya as he popularizes his bid for the top job in 2022.

“I held discussions with COG Chairman and Embu Governor Martin Wambora as I kickstarted my Mt. Kenya tour this morning. Several Wiper officials were also in attendance. Our journey to change the way things are done is gaining momentum by the day,” tweeted Kalonzo.
Anne Waiguru announced last week that she was going to listen to what the electorate will tell her and that is the political direction she will take.
She noted that she does not want to fall victim of being in the wrong political vehicle in 2022.
The governor had complained of harassment by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) over what she termed as her stance on the BBI.
