Celebrated Journalist Grace Kuria has joined BBC days after she announced her departure from China-owned China Global Television Network (CGTN).

Taking to her social media on Thursday, September 23, 2021, Grace shared an image of herself within the BBC studios.

"Not by power, not by might, But by the Spirit of the living God, Anything is possible, Bigger than we used to be, We have moved, I say we have moved," she tweeted.

Netizens including fans and celebrities alike joined in with congratulatory messages, wishing her success as she begins her new chapter.

"Congratulations and all the best, Grace," renowned journalist Oliver Mathenge shared.

On Monday, September 20, 2021, Grace announced that she was departing CGTN, seven months after she joined.

“Today I leave @cgtnafrica a better person than I was months ago, with greater insight on digital media. Forever grateful for the opportunity. Excited about the next phase of my career. God takes all the glory,” she tweeted.

Grace joined CGTN from Standard Media Group-owned KTN where she had worked for two years since leaving K24 in 2019.

Her meteoric rise to the top continues to envisage the tremendous growth of the media industry in Kenya which has seen multiple local journalists poached by international media houses.

She now joins a long list of Kenyan journalists who work and have worked at BBC.

We at Nairobileo.co.ke wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
