The Jubilee party has nominated Isaac Ngugi to Replace Late Senator Victor Prengei who died after being involved in a road accident.
According to Jubilee Secretary General Raphael Tuju, Ngugi's nomination came after the candidate that had been fronted by the Ogiek community where Prengei hailed from was disqualified because of his age.
The community had preferred that Prengei is replaced by one of their own and had given Peter Cheruiyot's name.

Prengei died after he was involved in a nasty road accident at Gioto area in Nakuru County.
The senator succumbed to his injuries while he was being rushed to the hospital.
Prengei was the first Ogiek in the history of Kenyan Parliament as a legislator.
He was also one of the senators who had sided with and strongly supported Deputy President William Ruto's United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party and his quest to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.
