Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi has sent a message to KANU Chairman and Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, after he was endorsed as the party’s presidential candidate in the 2022 general elections.
In a statement, Mudavadi congratulated Moi saying that he had now become an equal at the One Kenya Alliance (OKA).
The ANC leader said that they can now begin their relays to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.
“Congratulations my brother @MoiGideon and welcome to the family of endorsed presidential candidates. After this moment, you like the rest of us in OKA is an equal. At OKA we are a fully constituted Quadruplet team now. We can now do the 4x400 metres relay,” said Mudavadi.
OKA is made up of four principals including; Mudavadi, Wiper’s Kalonzo, Gideon Moi and Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetangula who has not declared which seat he will be vying for in 2022.

Mudavadi went on say that OKA has been mocked by the media on when it will unveil its presidential candidate, but Senator Moi’s endorsement has confirmed that the alliance is a force to reckon with and an ongoing going conversation that many other groups of Kenyans are lining up to join.

“OKA is coalescing into a formidable force. For this reason, I appeal for sobriety among a section of the media that attempts to put the cart before the horse. We have been incessantly mocked on when OKA will unveil its presidential candidate. We know the deadlines set by IEBC and we will meet them. There is, therefore, no need to shuttle us into mistakes,” stated Mudavadi.
KANU convened a special national delegates conference at the Bomas of Kenya on Thursday, September 30, 2021, where Moi was endorsed ahead of the 2022 general election.
Among leaders who graced the even include Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka, Kanini Kega among others.
