Former Chief Justice, Dr. Willy Mutunga has landed a new job with Kabarak University.
In an official announcement by the university, Mutunga will work as a Professor of Public Law at the institution.
“We are pleased to announce that Hon. Dr. Willy Mutunga, SC, EGH @WMutunga, CJ Emeritus has been appointed Professor of Public Law by @KabarakUniv. Prof @WMutunga is a renowned scholar of international repute and a reform activist with focus to democratic values and human rights,” said the University in a tweet.

Mutunga served as Chief Justice from 2011 to 2016 following his appointment by retired President Mwai Kibaki, becoming the first Chief Justice under the Constitution of Kenya (2010).
Upon retirement in 2016, he was appointed Special Envoy to the Maldives by the Commonwealth Secretary-General.
The former Chief Justice is a lawyer, reform activist, and academic with a rich career in constitutional reforms, mediation, and building of coalitions.
