Former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko has offered a Ksh200,000 cash reward to anyone who will lead to the arrest of self-confessed serial child killer Masten Wanjala Milimu.
Sonko’s announcement followed reports that Wanjala escaped from Jogoo road police station on Wednesday, in unclear circumstances.
“Suspected child serial killer Masten Wanjalla has escaped from Jogoo road police station. I'm offering a reward of Kshs. 200,000/= to anyone who will give information that will lead to the arrest of this animal by the police,” said the former governor.
Wanjala was expected to appear in court on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, to answer for multiple murder charges pressed against him.

[20-year-old Masten Milimu Wanjala, Suspect Behind the Killing of 13 Minors, who has escaped from police custody]
Wanjala was arrested by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in July this year, after a trail of the disappearance of two children in Nairobi led sleuths to his whereabouts in Kitengela.
The suspect revealed to the detectives that he was behind the killing of Charles Opindo Bala,13, and Junior Mutuku Musyoki, 12, who disappeared on June 30 and July 7, 2021 respectively.
After his arrest, Wanjala led detectives to the scene of the crime where he had disposed of the bodies of the children in Lower Kabete.
He was barely 16 when he first killed his first victim, Purity Maweu, a 12-year-old girl.
