A Standard Six pupil in Kakamega is in police custody after he allegedly killed a colleague over a meal of Ugali and Kunde on Thursday, October 14, 2021.
According to reports, the 14-year-old then proceeded to dump the body of the deceased in River Simakina in Navakholo, Kakamega County.
Navakholo OCPD Richard Omanga while confirming the incident revealed that the deceased, 10, was herding his family's cattle when he was attacked and killed.

The two pupils are said to be neighbours.
Reports indicate that the Standard Six pupil arrived home from school only to be told that the food he had intended to eat had been consumed by his neighbour.
The 14-year-old boy is said to have gone after the 10-year-old and hit him on the head with a blunt object, killing him on the spot.
He then proceeded to through the deceased's body in the river.
The pupil then arrived in school on Friday, October 15, and informed his teachers that he had killed his colleague.
He then led his teachers to the crime of the incident where the body was found in the water.
OCPD Omanga stated that the body had serious head injuries.
The deceased's body was taken to Kakamega Referral and Hospital mortuary as investigations to the case continue.
