Woman Forced to Deliver Along Outer Ring Road Due to Traffic JamA woman was on Monday October 18, 2021 forced to deliver along Outer Ring road in Nairobi, after reportedly facing heavy traffic.
Reports indicate that the lady was on her way to hospital, but due totraffic jam, the delivery process started as she was still on the road, forcing other road users to intervene and help with her delivery.
In a video shared on Twitter, a couple of road users are seen shielding the scene while others aided with the delivery.

After safely delivering, she proceeded with her journey to the hospital.
Speaking after the incident, one of the ladies who aided with the delivery said she was forced to swing into action after being informed that the delivery process had commenced.
“Amejifungua ako sawa. Unajua kichwa ilikuwa inatoka mimi nlikuwa mpita njia, wamama wananiambia sasa tutafanya nini, nkawaambia acha niingie kwa gari, kichwa imetoka hawataki kusaidia, ndio nkaambia askari tusimamishiwe tuweke wrong side…,” she said in part.

Meanwhile, most major Nairobi roads are under renovations; thus causing traffic jams in various parts of the city.
For the better part of Monday morning, Mombasa Road users were stuck in traffic after a crane that was fixing parts of the road broke down on site.
KeNHA has issued a statement apologizing over the inconvenience and promised to ensure normal traffic flow resumes soonest possible.
