Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has hit out at Deputy President William Ruto, accusing him of being poor in mathematics.

In a tweet on Friday morning, Babu questioned the DP’s promise to create four million jobs if elected president, noting that Ruto has been the second in command for the last nine years, and was unable to create a million jobs alongside President Uhuru Kenyatta.

According to Babu, if the Jubilee administration which the DP was part of, was unable to create a million jobs for Kenyans, then there is mathematically no way that the DP can create four million new jobs.

He accused the DP of being poor in mathematics, claiming that he must have gotten a grade ‘D’ in maths during his KCSE examination.

“Ruto is going round boasting how he will create 4 million jobs if elected President. The big question is: If 2 of you could not create 1 million jobs, how can one person create 4 million jobs? I clearly know beyond reasonable doubt that this was a D material at mathematics in school,” he tweeted.

Meanwhile, the DP has been traversing the country selling his agenda and appealing to Kenyans to rally behind him in the 2022 presidential race.

Among his key agendas has been the issue of youth unemployment, which DP says will be a key priority for him. He has promised to create four millions jobs if elected President in 2022.

According to the DP, if he is successful in 2022, his administration will set aside 10 billion for youth empowerment, this he says will translate to four million jobs across the country.
