Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President Nelson Havi has explained why he defended ousted FKF President Nick Mwendwa in court, despite backlash over poor state of Kenyan football.
Speaking on Monday during an interview at Radio Citizen, Havi noted that as a lawyer, it is his right to defend anyone presented in court.
According to Havi his work as an attorney is to represent anyone including lucifer and the devil if they are unveiled in court.

Meanwhile, Sports Cabinet Secretary Amb Amina Mohammed recently disbanded the FKF board headed by Nick Mwendwa and appointed a caretaker committee and secretariat to oversee football activities in the country.
Following the disbandment, Mwendwa was arrested and taken to the DCI headquarters for interrogation over claims of misappropriating funds issued to FKF by the government.
He was later arraigned in court where Havi and a team of other lawyers appeared for him and successfully managed to secure his release on a Ksh 7Million bond with two sureties or a cash bail of Kshs 4M with two contact persons.
